Phillip Phillips, American Idol 2012 winner

Phillip Phillips, a southern rocker heartthrob won the American Idol 2012 bring the season 11 to a close fight against a 16 years old Jessica Sanchez. With the record of 132 million votes Phillip beat Jessica Sanchez on the Finale Performance who certainly has a long career after this.

During the audition, Phillip caught the attention of the Idol judges for his memorable song of Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition” and a
acoustic version of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” When he walked into the audition room, Steven Tyler said to Jennifer Lopez, “I have a funny feeling about this.” “He’s like a little James Brown,” Jennifer Lopez said after Phillip completely overwhelmed the judges with his performance. He eventually compare to little Dave Matthews.

And in finale, last Tuesday night, Phillip’s great rendition of Ben E. King’s “Stand By Me” as well as his possible “Idol” single, an original folksy tune called “Home” that the judges loved and impressed.
