Parade of Festivals

One of the events here in Sinadya sa Halaran is the parade of festivals from different cities here in the province of capiz. It also include the dancing parade(sadsad), higantes, mutya sa sinadya sa halaran pageant, fireworks display and coronation of mutya sa sinadya sa halaran.

Here's the sample picture that i took this morning during the parade. And tonight i'm looking forward for the fireworks display, fluvial procession and the lighted river floaters right after the mass in Roxas City Cathedral.

Sinadya sa Halaran 2009

Roxas City, Capiz is dubbed as the Seafoods Capital of the Philippines because this city is abundant of seafoods like diwal, oyster, and many other more. Roxas City, Capiz also recognized of it 80 kilometer coastline which attracts many tourists.

Roxas City is the capital of the capiz province wherein every year they are celebrating a festival called “Sinadya sa Halaran” which is a joint festival of the city and the province of capiz, sinadya for the “city” and halaran for the province. Sinadya means to have pleasure or joy, share and be thankful to all the blessings that the people of capiz received. Tonight, we will witness the fireworks display held in halaran plaza. I also include in this post the tentative schedule of this year sinadya sa halaran.
